  Mining 21 Million Until 2054 Bitgesell Halvings List Bitgesell (BGL), the evolutionary successor to Bitcoin, will complete the 4th halving event on April 26, 2024, after mining a total of 210,000 blocks on its innovative blockchain. Each year, following the mining of 52,500 blocks, the block reward on the Bitgesell blockchain is halved, commonly known as 'halving'.
