BITGESELL DEATH BETS - BDB
Bitgesell Death Bets is an initiative created by the Bitgesell community on Telegram in 2024. The goal is to promote awareness through bets on the death dates of global political leaders who pose dangerous or dubious actions that threaten regional or global peace and security.
This is essentially a modern and symbolic version of the ancient Roman tradition called "Memento Mori." When a general arrived in Rome after significant triumphs or historical feats, he was applauded and cheered by the crowd during a procession to the Emperor. To prevent him from desiring immortality, a slave or companion would whisper in his ear: "Remember you are mortal! You are not a god. You are a man. You will die one day. All this is fleeting!" This was summed up in the famous chant "Memento mori!"
Thus, the current Bitgesell Death Bets focus on the five most dangerous leaders, chosen exclusively by artificial intelligence and later reviewed and voted on by Bitgesell community members on Telegram.
There is also a list below of five alternates leaders who will potentially replace the empty spot when any of the current leaders die unexpectedly or upon successful bet.
BETTING RULES:
1. The Bitgesell Death Bet costs $1.00 USD (equivalent to 14 BGL in July 2024) and will remain this way until the Bitgesell coin reaches a value of $10.000 dollars.
2. The bet is made exclusively in Bitgesell currency by sending from any BGL Wallet the equivalent of $1 USD in bitgesell coin to the address of each leader.
3. The bet must be sent exactly 7 days (168 hours) before the political leader's death to prevent situations of assassination or planned crime.
4. The bet amount is added to the initial prize of 210 BGL coins, valued at $15 in July 2024.
5. If correct, the prize is paid by sending the prize amount and all bets made to the winner's Bitgesell wallet address.
As the value of Bitgesell increases over time, the prize and the desire to bet on the death date of a leader will grow until someone finds the power of divination.
The total value of the five current prizes is 1050 BGL, equivalent to $75 in July 2024.
The Bitgesell Community reserves the right to suspend Bitgesell Death Bets partially or completely if necessary and may redirect the prizes to humanitarian causes.

Yahya Sinwar, the leader of Hamas, could be included in this main list. However, since he is already "targeted" by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) for death or shot down once located, he does not fit the profile suitable for Bitgesell Death Bets.
