Bitgesell is a standout and disruptive cryptocurrency, without a doubt, for having more effective deflationary mechanisms than Bitcoin. Additionally, it has a small but dedicated Community on Telegram and X committed to contributing significantly to its primary goal: being a store of value.
The Bitgesell Investor's Guide, released last weekend, is one such example. Earlier this year, the Community awarded BGL to the most prominent political prisoners of the past five years. The winner, Alexei Navalny, sadly passed away a month later under suspicious circumstances in a Siberian prison.
As a result, we will introducing death bets on BGL Network for the World's most hated political leaders. Participants who wish to compete for the final prize need only place a bet of 0.000001 BGL exactly seven days before the target's death. This could ostensibly prove the existence of individuals with prophetic abilities. While the goal is genuine, it is also symbolic, drawing attention to the deplorable actions of these leaders and providing a snapshot of the currency's value in relation to future appreciation.
In 2024, we will also inaugurate the Bitgesell Burning Day during the second weekend of October, an event that promises to either captivate significant engagement with Bitgesell over the years. Or maybe not. Time will prove its effectiveness. Who wouldn't want to be part of a Community or own a currency where pioneers actively contribute to its deflation once a year?
However, this is good but still not enough.
The community must do much more because the more it does, the more valuable the currency becomes. As billionaire Kazé Fuziyana says, "If your eyes do not shine, you cannot make others' eyes shine. If your heart does not beat, you will not make others' hearts beat."
Therefore, to further complement the initiatives of the Bitgesell Community in 2024, I propose a new initiative called Bitgesell Of Year, abbreviated as BOY.
BOY or Bitgesell Of the Year will be an annual event held between December 20 and 30, during which the Bitgesell Community will choose the Personality of the Year, similar to a single elite Nobel Prize using real crypto as a prize for the first time in History. After careful selection the Bitgesell community will be called to vote on Telegram for a panel of candidates to select the most outstanding personality of that year. The nominee should be recognized for their selfless and altruistic contributions to the world in various fields such as science, medicine, politics, literature, economics, art, etc.
Each winner will receive a prize of 1 bgl from a wallet exclusively dedicated to the event for the upcoming years.
The winner will have 365 days to claim the prize. After this period, the prize will be burned on the next edition of Bitgesell Burning Day, contributing to the scarcity of the Bitgesell asset.
